Compare Helio P65 vs Snapdragon 712 Chipsets
Last year, Qualcomm introduced Snapdragon 710 chipset under its Snapdragon 700 series. It was the first chipset of this series and a very powerful chipset in the mid-range segment. There was none other powerful chipsets like this. Many smartphone manufacturers adopted this chipset in their smartphones.
Now after a time of almost 8-9 months of the launch of Snapdragon 710, the company introduced Snapdragon 712 chipset as its successor. This chipset brings some improvements over Snapdragon 710. And after the launch of this chipset, Xiaomi adopted this chipset in its Mi 9 SE smartphone. After that, Vivo also used this chipset in its Vivo Z1 Pro smartphone which performs very well.
In recent days, MediaTek – a competitor of Qualcomm, also introduced its Helio P65 chipset as the successor of MediaTek Helio P60 and P70 chipsets. Last year, the company launched Helio P60 chipset which was the most successful chipset of MediaTek. This was the first chipset in mid-range to come with dedicated APU. After 6 months the company also announced its successor Helio P70 with a tiny upgrade over Helio P60. And now the Helio P65 is introduced as their successor.
Both Snapdragon 712 and Helio P65 performs very well at their segment. Here we are to compare MediaTek Helio P65 vs Snapdragon 712 chipsetsand try to find out that which one is better chipset between Helio P65 and Snapdragon 712. If you also want to know the difference between Helio P65 and Snapdragon 712 chipsets, then keep reading this article. Here we will try to clear your all doubts regarding this. Let’s compare them.
Helio P65 vs Snapdragon 712 CPU & GPU
CPU
Starting the comparison with the CPU of these processors, talking about MediaTek Helio P65, it has a 64-bit eight-core processor which includes a combination of 2+6 CPU cores. It includes 2 Cortex-A75 cores running at 2.0GHz while its 6 Cortex-A55 cores also operating at 2.0GHz clock speed. While on the other side, Snapdragon 712 also features 64-bit octa-core CPU which features Kryo 360 CPU. The Kryo 360 CPU includes 2 Cortex-A75 Gold Cores operating at 2.3GHz while 6 Cortex-A75 Silver Cores running at 1.7GHz. Here the first 2 powerful cores have a higher frequency in Snapdragon 712 while the other 6 cores have higher CPU frequency in Helio P65 chipset. With a higher frequency of powerful cores, here Snapdragon 712 performs better over Helio P65.
GPU
Moving on GPU section, here Snapdragon 712 has Adreno 616 GPU with a maximum clock speed of up to 550MHz while the Helio P65 got Arm Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU clocked at 820MHz. In this case, the Adreno 616 GPU of Snapdragon 712 could perform better over Mali G52 GPU present on Helio P65.
Manufacturing Process
Speaking of the manufacturing process, MediaTek Helio P65 still working on the 12nm manufacturing process. Most chipsets of MediaTek in the mid-range segment working on the same 12nm fabrication process. On the other side, Snapdragon 712 is fabricated on the 10nm manufacturing process because of which it is a more power-efficient chipset over Helio P65. So in this case also Snapdragon is ahead over Helio P65.
Helio P65 vs Snapdragon 712 Supported Features
